Should I Use My Health Insurance to Pay My Medical Bills From an Accident?

Video Transcript:

We never encourage you to use your health insurance to pay for your medical bills from an accident because by using your medical bills, those medical bills will be paid then by say your own personal Blue Cross Blue Shield. It’s much more difficult to have the doctor give money back and have been paid by workers compensation than to just have them paid by workers compensation. Now, sometimes there can be some negotiation there where we have the insurance company give us a portion of the medical bills are paid by your group healthcare insurance. But we would only tell a person to use their group healthcare insurance if the case is completely denied and the treatment was needed immediately.
