Can you sue on a friend or neighbor’s property? The answer is yes. It doesn’t matter your relationship with the person when you bring a lawsuit against someone who is negligent that you’re hurt because of their fault. You can bring a claim regardless of your relationship with them. I know it’s emotionally hard to file a claim or a lawsuit against someone you’re very close with, but as we explain to them and that’s the person that we’re suing is, we want your insurance, it’s not against you, we want your insurance to cover so your friend or loved one can be made whole.
