Canned Food Drive with the Greater Chicago Food Depository
The Illinois Hammer held a canned food drive during the month of November and the season of giving thanks to help benefit The Greater Chicago Food Depository. The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, started with one purpose – to nourish our neighbors at risk of hunger. With the holiday season upon us, our team was committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families facing food insecurity. The firm generously matched and doubled all contributions, reinforcing the belief that every act of kindness has a meaningful impact.
Care Packs for Houseless Individuals
As the temperatures begin to drop and the colder months approach, the needs of our houseless neighbors become more urgent. The Illinois Hammer team came together to assemble and donate 40 care packs for houseless individuals at Lincoln Park Community Services. Lincoln Park Community Services (LPCS) brings communities together to empower individuals facing homelessness and poverty to secure stable housing and make sustainable life changes. Each care pack was thoughtfully put together to help address the needs of those experiencing the effects of the harsh cold weather with items like warm socks, gloves, hats, blankets, hand warmers, and non-perishable food items.
Turkey Giveaway Contest
Our firm embraced the holiday spirit by hosting a festive “turkey” giveaway contest on our social media channels, featuring 20 $25 AMEX gift cards! This event was our way of giving back to the community and spreading joy as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday. We were thrilled to see such enthusiastic participation and are grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many individuals.
