Tracy N. Schamberger is a personal injury attorney at The Illinois Hammer Injury Law Firm. Before joining The Illinois Hammer, Tracy worked extensively in personal injury law from both the defense’s and the prosecutor’s side. Through her work as a criminal prosecutor, she received intense training in the Detection of Impaired Drivers. Her previous experience and training led Tracy to focus her practice on personal injury cases with an emphasis on auto accidents.
Having worked in injury law on multiple levels, Tracy excels in anticipating the defense’s arguments and counteroffers. This skill set allows her to expedite the process of getting her clients justice.
Tracy decided to become an attorney to help the injured stand up for their rights and receive the benefits and support they deserve. She believes that, to be a successful attorney, one must have integrity, intelligence, dedication and must be both articulate and conscientious.
“At the end of the day, my goal is to feel that I have done my job to the best of my abilities,” Tracy said. “It’s crucial to me that my client’s rights have been protected.”
Tracy received a B.A. in Sociology from Emory University and her J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law. At Emory University, Tracy was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society and the Alpha Kappa Delta, a Sociology honors society. She also received the NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship upon receiving her diploma from Emory University. There, she was a 5 time All-American Swimmer. While in law school, Tracy was a member of the NIU Law Review and the Public Interest Law Society. Tracy is licensed to practice law in the states of Illinois, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.
In her free time, Tracy enjoys swimming, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family, including her two children, and their animals.
