Kenneth B. Gore began practicing law, focusing on personal injury and workers’ compensation, shortly after graduating law school in the 1970s. He was recognized by his peers when voted into the Workers’ Compensation Law Leading Illinois Attorneys Consumer Law Guidebook, following a statewide survey conducted by the American Research Corporation. Less than 3% of the attorneys in Illinois receive this distinction. He also has extensive trial experience in both personal injury and workers’ compensation claims and was qualified as an expert witness in workers’ compensation law in the Federal court of the United States.

In 2002, Ken’s firm set a precedent in the State of Illinois with the highest penalty ever assessed against a company for failure to pay his client compensation. He also represented his client in a case that went to the Supreme Court of Illinois regarding job discrimination in workers’ compensation.

Ken is proud to have mentored two presidents of the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association (WCLA), as well as an appellate court judge and a Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association Committee on Workers’ Compensation Law. Guiding these professionals to their esteemed roles has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience for Ken.

When asked why he chose to focus on personal injury and workers’ compensation law, Ken responded, “I have compassion and a rich history advocating for injury victims in need of help. It is rewarding to work with these individuals and ensure that they are protected and receive the medical care they need as well as just and fair settlements. Justice is meant for everyone without reservation.”

True to his passion, Ken also has served on numerous committees outside of the office that supports workers’ rights.

Ken enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He leads an active lifestyle. Ken plays tennis regularly (a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association for 30 years), has completed the Chicago Marathon twice, and has participated in over 40 triathlons. He is also engaged in the community, serving many leadership roles in groups that provide important programs and services. One of his most gratifying experiences was serving as president of the Associates of St. Joseph’s Hospital, an organization dedicated to providing healthcare services for the community. He also served as president of Temple Sholom of Chicago, supporting important community needs.

While completing undergraduate coursework at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, Ken was accepted to DePaul University College of Law meeting special requirements under an early admissions program.

Ken is proud to have sought justice for tens of thousands of clients.
