Ann-Louise Kleper has been representing injured employees in Illinois in every aspect of their workers’ compensation claims for three decades. She litigates claims at the arbitration level and on review to the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, and she handles appeals at every level, including the Illinois Supreme Court. She is also an experienced and successful negotiator, securing significant settlements for her clients. In addition, she has experience in a broad range of plaintiff’s personal injury matters.

Kleper is the author of the chapter on fatal cases in the Workers’ Compensation Practice Handbook published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and of an article on legal issues confronting occupational physicians for Occupational Medicine. Kleper has spoken at continuing legal education seminars for workers’ compensation attorneys about such topics as repetitive trauma claims, occupational diseases, heart attacks and strokes, and psychological trauma. She has addressed doctors regarding medico-legal issues at the American Academy for Disability Evaluation Physicians, the University of Illinois College of Medicine, the Northwestern University Medical School and the Cook County Hospital Occupational Medicine Residency Program.

A magna cum laude graduate of Brandeis University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Ann-Louise received her J.D. cum laude from Boston University School of Law, and is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar. She is a member of the American, Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations, the American Association for Justice, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association. She has received the AV rating, the highest recognition, from Martindale Hubbell.

Outside of work, Ann-Louise enjoys spending time with her family and serving in leadership roles in various not-for-profit organizations.
