I grew up in Cleveland Ohio I come from a long line of non-attorneys uh so it’s really interesting that this is the career that I fell into I don’t even know at what point I decided I wanted to become an attorney I just know that in the fourth grade when you had to do your graduation speech I walked across the stage with a little suitcase and my mom’s pencil skirt and I said when I grow up I want to be an attorney and eventually in a Supreme Court Justice primarily personal injury that can be a pretty broad range of cases anything from motor vehicle collisions to slip and falls to wrongful death cases to um defective properties slip and falls all types of cases that stems from injuries caused by the negligence of a third party nobody knows why I wanted to become a lawyer I do not have any lawyers in my family at all I don’t even think on my extended side of my mom if you were to ask her or my dad they would say it’s because I grew up loving to argue um but no truly when I was younger I knew from fourth grade I wanted to become an attorney it was in my yearbook every single year about what my goals were and what I wanted to be and so I’m really proud of myself that I can say that I stuck to my goals that I had when I was 10 my dad was an immigrant he immigrated here when he was 20 years old um I know a lot of clients I have are either freshly arrived in this country maybe they don’t even live here and they were just visiting uh and so approaching a legal situation and approaching attorneys can be overwhelming in and of itself let alone of somebody who this isn’t their first language or this isn’t the country that they live in and so I think I provide a level of comfort I always try to approach every single client the same way and in the beginning my goal is to make them feel as comfortable and confident in the situation as possible and I think that’s a strength that permeated through most of my career.
